Wildlife rescue center needs volunteer handymen to help get things ready for fall

If you’re comfortable with a tool set and love British wildlife, then RSPCA Oak and Furrows want to hear from you!

The Cricklade-based Wildlife Rescue Center is holding a maintenance day and anyone in a position to help is welcome to attend.

The event will take place on October 1 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the charity’s Blakehill Nature Reserve location.

A spokesperson for Oak and Furrows said: “Are you a good hand with a paintbrush? Are you a carpenter or joiner who knows his trade? Are your DIY skills worthy of a spot on DIY SOS or, like most of us, can you just about get by with a hammer and nails?

“Whatever your skill level, we would love to help! »

All volunteers will need to bring their own kit with them, but center staff will provide tea and cookies throughout the day.

“We invite anyone who can help us prepare for fall and winter to join us in keeping everything spotless,” the spokesperson added.

Anyone willing to help should let Oak and Furrows know by contacting Wildliferescue@rspcaoandf.org.uk.
